1979 Firebird Esprit with the Red Bird package.
The Red Bird package came with two tone paint, gold stripes and exterior graphics. Mayan Red was the main color along with a darker red on the lower section. The cast aluminum Snowflake wheels are red.
This Red Bird is powered by the 4.9 Liter (301 cu. in.) 4BBL V8. Currently there is a Edelbrock carb and aftermarket air cleaner installed. The original carb and air cleaner assembly are still available and will go with the car. Mileage shows 153,000. Previous owner had it since the early 80’s and had the motor rebuilt at 90,000 miles.
This Red Bird has the Standard Custom interior in color Carmine. The build sheet is located under the drivers seat.
The exterior shows nice. Not much rust on the car. It was always stored indoors. Just a couple of small areas that need attention.
There have been some touch ups on the car. The paint shines nice. The underside is really nice. Floors and trunk floor are rust free.
